- – Tech performed compression test on right bank and found cylinder #1 has 34 psi, and leak down test failed with 85-90% leakage (anything over 10% is bad). Boroscoped and found cylinder #1 exhaust valve burnt. – Need cylinder head gasket removal and machine work to repair. Anytime we have an internal engine failure there is a possibility of unseen damage. Our repair estimate will include all we can reasonably expect, but cost my go up if additional faults are found after tear down or machining. – –
